Bisquick eCoupon and Cellfire Product Highlight #1

Bisquick

For those of you that have been following my blog for the last couple of weeks you have seen the $100 Grocery Card Giveway that I'm hosting thanks to Cellfire.  Part of my deal with them is to highlight 3 different products that I enjoy, that you can download onto your loyalty cards.

Bisquick was one item, I really didn't use BEFORE I started couponing.  One because it was more expensive then other brands and two I'm not huge biscuit fan.  BUT Bisquick on good coupon deal you can normally purchase for around $1.00 per box.  So I quickly learned recipes to use Bisquick for more then just biscuits (ha), but I'm so happy I did!  One of my favorite dishes is chicken pot pies and the Bisquick recipe is SOOOOOOOOO delish' :-)

Go here to download your Bisquick eCoupon from Cellfire!

What's your favorite Bisquick recipe?

Shortcakes made out of Bisquick are hands down the best thing on the stinkin' planet! And my mom used whatever fruit she has on hand - strawberries, peaches, bluberries - or mix them all up to use little amounts of whatever is in your freezer or garden - add a little coolwhip and VOILA! They are so simple, and I usually double the recipe when I make them and freeze half (they freeze and thaw well). They have such a good taste because they are not overly sweet and a really nice texture - I feel some baking time coming on just talking about it!

My favorite is a cheeseburger pie; I can't remember what they call it. You brown your meant (I use ground turkey) add onions, peppers, shredded cheese, garlic and seasonings and put it in a rectangle baking dish. You take Bisquick mix with milk (I use soymilk or lowfat) until smooth then pour over the meat mixture. Bake until brown and firm in center. It is delicious. I haven't made it in awhile and made it so much that I didn't follow instructions after awhile.

I changed the recipe a little. Used extra cheese and different seasonings. :-) It's really yummy.
