Angel Food Ministries: Feed Your Family for $4.30 a Day!

My dad was telling me yesterday about Angel Food Ministries.  And something jumped out at me and grabbed my attention, so I Googled it.  Oh my what an amazing organization!!!  Angel Food Ministries provides families with approximately $65 worth of quality nutritious food for $30.  They purchase food from suppliers at substantial volume discounts and none of the food is out-of-date food or inferior products.

Each month's menu is different and consists of fresh, frozen and packaged food. Angel Food is purchased from the nation’s top food suppliers. There is no purchase limit for boxes of Angel Food. There are no applications or qualifications necessary to purchase.  It was designed to give people a “hand up” during difficult times.   I can tell there has been times in my life, when this program could of made a HUGE difference in my family.

If, you are in need for just a little extra help go HERE to find a location near you.  Angel Food Ministries participates in the Food Stamp Program. This program is designed to help low-income families buy the food they need for good nutrition.

Have you or do you know of anyone who has used AFM?

There are several programs out there like this - I use another program called Food Share America - www.foodshareamerica.com. I like how they offer healthier choices as well as individual items. You don't have to buy a full box, if you have a smaller family and you can add to the boxes they offer, if you have a larger family. They have a couple of sizes of produce boxes too. They take food stamps over the phone, so you don't have to make 2 trips to the church.

We started using AFM in April right after the first time you wrote about it. And it's WONDERFUL, no more spending time searching for something eat! The food is always fresh and the ladies at the location we go are so helpful!

Thank you,
Maggie from Pueblo

We have this available at our church. They also now have after school boxes for kids snacks.
