I'm off to shop w/ coupons in hand & loaded loyalty cards!

I actually sat down and went through each ad completely and clipped my coupons to match... yippee (I haven't done that in a LONG time). So I'm off to shop,.. I will back later with pictures of my shopping day!

I think it's going to be AWESOME (thanks to all the coupon inserts last weekend and loading my Safeway & King Soopers cards
HERE)!

I have a question for you. I read tons of blogs, and get some great deals for matching coupons to sales. But after reading this little quip, I was hoping you could give me some advice on how you match them up yourself. I would like to get better at couponing by myself, without having to go through others' blogs first. What have you found is the best way to match up sales and coupons, etc? Thank you!

Jenna I had plans to take pictures, but I came off dropped off my groceries and then went back out to grab to grab my toner that was being filled at Walgreens. In the mean time my 15 year old nephew "did me a favor" and my groceries away. lol so unless I wanted to go downstairs and carry everything back up I wasn't going to get any pics... SORRY!

Lauren great question! How I do it is I take out all the weekly ads (in Pueblo the new ads come out on Wednesday). From there I look through the paper on what's on sale and then I go to either www.coupontom.com (my favorite) or www.hotcouponworld.com or www.afullcup.com and search their coupon base for available coupons. Does that make sense?

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment!

I'm curious which Safeway you use? I go to the one on 29th Street and its a nightmare. On Saturday they handed me back a stack of coupons because they would not go through. Most of them said "the value excedes the limit" or something like that. It was $9 worth (after doubling!) Half were IP's and the other were regular coupons. Then when I went to the service desk to take back all the items that they did not accept coupons for, the manager said that he would have to give me back money minus the coupon totals that I had used? So I just left. I guess the Southside would be better but I live a few blocks from 29th Street.

That is strange I usually use the Safeway on 29th with no problem although I don't use IP because I have never used an IP that didn't beep. My big problem is the rudeness at the south side Safeway. Pueblo West is pretty good too but far you need a snack just for the drive out there. LOL. Most coupons that there is an IP for they usually have a paper coupon that is not an IP, so I just order it and wait till it comes in (2-5 days). Although I am curious too where Andrea shops.

Vicki,

I have had NOTHING, but trouble at there! I hate shopping at 29th street. For example this weekend I actually sat down and matched a ton coupons for all the stores. Something I haven't done in months (the beauty of a stockpile). Anyhow I did go to 29th street just for convience and omg what a nightmare!!!! In over 2 years I have never had a coupon not double that had the bar code 5, even if they said it DND. To make a long story short, they wouldn't double my coupons. And then get this the cashier actually held my coupons up to the light. Like I was handing her fake money, but in this case coupons. I will never shop there again!!! This isn't the first time I have had trouble there, it's probably like round 4 or 5.

I live in county and so I go to 8th street usually, unless I have tons of stuff to get and then I go to Pueblo West. Pueblo West always has sell items in stock too, if you ever need something. I have NEVER (knock on wood) had a issue at either location.

When it comes to Albertsons I shop normally at the South side (they are coupon friendly)! Walmart only Pueblo West & Walgreens any place, but the North side

That's it I think we should all shop in Pueblo West. LOL. At least none of us have had a problem there. I cannot believe they held your coupon to the light. Wow, what's all that about? weirdos!I don't mind the Albertsons on either side of town. yet anyway, but what is the limit for like coupons?

I'm game, let's all just shop in Pueblo West... the people that work there love their jobs! :D

As far my coupon being held to the light that's what made me the madest!!! She was just doing that to be rude. The funny part about it was the lady behind us, told the cashier she was rude and left her whole cart full of groceries and said "I'm going to Albertsons, where their nice"! A complete stranger :) but it made the lady really think about how she was treating me! HA, that's what you get SAFEWAY! lol

Oh my gosh, I'm dying reading this!! I cannot BELIEVE they treated you all like this!! WOW! I go to the NICEST Safeway EVER, but I am in the Denver area. They all know me and joke around with me at how much I'm there. I totally have my favorite cashiers there. I hope you all find nice people to work with. I would so be complaining if I were you Andrea! Safeway is supposed to be KNOWN for their friendly service! And LOL at holding the coupon to the light!! What did she think she was gonna find? LOL LOL!!

I stopped going to the Safeway in Pueblo West about 6 months ago because they did not double coupons. Just plain old regular coupons. I just assumed that it was because they don't have competition out there so they don't need to. That sounds promising if they double because my husband loves the olive bar(olives by the pound) they have.

Vicki just a few months ago they started doubling coupons :) So now all the stores in Pueblo including Pueblo West double :)

The cashiers there are so friendly too and the Walgreens across the street rocks!

I've been reading through the comments. I hope that the two of you that have had so much trouble with "29th St Safeway" have called or written to corporate about the way you're treated there. That store will go under if they keep refusing people like that and defrauding (not auto doubling coupons like they're supposed to and then telling you that they'll give you the cost-minus-coupons without returning your coupons...that coupon fraud!!!! They'd be turning in those coupons for reimbursement on products they didn't sell!).

Mommaonabudget,

Oh yeah I called :) I couldn't take it. They told they would have the district manager call me within 24 hours and I still haven't heard a word. Looks like I will be calling corporate AGAIN! Ha I hate being like that, but I know I'm not the only one who is miss treated there!
